City Seeks Feedback for Site of New Transit Terminal

Stratford, ON – As the re-development of Market Square, scheduled for completion at the end of this month, has redefined the south entrance of City Hall from a transit terminal to a pedestrian-friendly public gathering space, a new permanent transit terminal is required. The City of Stratford is seeking feedback from citizens on the most preferred location.
The ideal terminal would provide a convenient and safe location for transit riders, and would be located within short walking distance to shopping, places of work and public spaces. Another consideration would include the transit terminal being centrally located for all seven transit routes to connect into one another.
Three potential locations have been identified being one, on the north side of St. Patrick Street across from the Cooper Block. Second, on the west side of Downie Street, across from Shakespeare Park. Third, surrounding City Hall on Wellington and Downie Street.
City staff are open to other suggestions of locations and amenities. Feedback can be provided in many ways:
